DESCRIPTION
The INNER tube project is a simplified version of a labyrinth found inscribed on a block of black marble in Knidos, an ancient settlement located in southwestern Asia Minor. It has been modified to allow for a continuous walking loop. The installation will be constructed with industrial shade cloth, galvanized pipe and structural fittings to allow for mobility. The shade cloth will alternate from translucent to opaque as one progresses through, transforming one's surroundings and potentially one's self. The structure will be 60 feet long, 30 feet wide and 10 feet tall. A large welded steel hare, created by Patrick E, will survey the passages. The project will be funded by sales of editioned artwork.
